Marek Z. Turner
Marek Z. Turner is someone whose fiction primarily focuses on those for whom life hasn’t been kind to and whose non-fiction spans both entertainment and marketing interests.
Permanently fuelled by caffeine, he was a finalist in the 2021 Capital Crime New Voices Award competition, and in 2024 he was shortlisted in the Black Spring Press ‘Crimebits’ competition, as judged by Lee Child.
His work includes the creature feature novel Killerpede (2022), and Italy-based noir The Eighth Hill (2023), as well as the comedic-crime short story collection Born To Lose: Tales of Gigi (2025). He has also had several crime and horror short stories published.
In addition to his fiction, Marek has also written several non-fiction articles on Italian film published across a range of magazines and home entertainment releases including for Scream Magazine, 88 Films, Tetrovideo, and Diabolique as well as articles on environmentalism and marketing.
He is a member of the The Crime Writers’ Association and the Chartered Institute of Marketing in the UK.
